We welcomed Professor Myria Georgiou from the London School of Economics, Dr Daniel Faas from Trinity College Dublin, Dr Caitriona Ni Laoire from University College Cork, Dr Anastasia Christou from Middlesex University, Dr Bahar Baser from Coventry University, Dr Ahmet Erdi Ozturk from Linköping University, Sweden (now at the London Metropolitan University) and Dr Elisabetta Zontini from The University of Nottingham.
During this 2-day workshop we presented some of our preliminary results and discussed working with children and young people more generally.

Elizabeth will be presenting the project at the next annual meeting of the American Association of Geographers (AAG) in April. AAG’s annual meeting is one of the largest geography conferences in the world, and Liz’s presentation will focus on the barriers and limitations that prevent young people from being politically active in diaspora.
